Hampshire Mosque Director and Amherst Health Inspector Javeria Mir left her family in Pakistan recently to study at UMass, where she earned a degree in ‘Public Health’.
Ms. Mir petitioned the US Homeland Security department in 2008.
In November, 2010 Ms. Mir was appointed to the Board of Directors of Hampshire Mosque to help promote and further Dr. Hazratji’s vision of a ‘healthy public’.
