Hampshire County residents are concerned about plans to purchase an isolated residential property on the border between Amherst and Pelham to convert into a Mosque.
The area is noted for its diversity and welcoming environment, but residents are understandably concerned because of the types of preaching revealed at so many Mosques both here and in other countries, or because of the ties to terror organizations that have been repeatedly uncovered.
The difficulty is that many people have difficulty distinguishing between ordinary Muslimish people wanting to escape the Muslim world and join the brotherhood of mankind by adopting the Judeo-Christian-Hindu-Buddhist-Atheist values of diversity and tolerance, and devout Muslims, whose only professed goal is strict “adherence to the teachings of the Koran and the methodology of Mohammed.”
Muslims don’t lie – (except to kafirs)
“We don’t lie to make a point or strengthen a position, and we don’t tolerate lies.” – Dr. Hazratji – February 2010
Warren Hall, chairman of Pelham’s Planning Board, who lives at 60 Harkness Road, said three-quarters of the people affected by the mosque live in Pelham … “If the applicant considers due diligence a hostile act, then I would respectfully submit that he doesn’t understand the process.”
Long term growth – space is essential – even 3 acres is not enough
Because considerable expansion will always be a necessary prerequisite of the mosque’s plans, they quickly ‘retreated’ and withdrew their request in June, 2010 after they found out they “might not have been able to expand on Harkness Rd.”
No Target Property Right Now
But the mosque is still looking for a bigger place from which to accomplish their goals. According to Dr. Hazratji, “We don’t have any target property right now that appeals to us.”
