UMass MSA – Moderate or not?

Here in America, ‘associations’ and ‘corporations’ represent groups of individuals with the same beliefs and goals.   Hampshire Mosque Inc., for example, is a corporation organized for a specific purpose (to implement the Sunnah of Mohammad) under the leadership and direction of its president, Dr. Ali Hazratji (don’t let the name fool you! Ali is not a Shi’ite).

In 2006 the mosque announced that it “plans to coordinate its activities with the Muslim Student Association at the University of Massachusetts.”

Since mosque membership is open only to Muslims  “who are in full agreement with the aims and objectives of the corporation,” it seems clear that any supporters of Dr. Hazratji or the other officers have reaffirmed their 100% support of his agenda and methods.

Where are the moderate MSA students who heard Dr. Hazratji’s speech?

Calls to violence and bloodshed, especially when followed up by death threats, are strictly prohibited in the US.   The very presence at such illegal meetings is prohibited, and failure to inform the proper authorities raises the serious possibility of conspiracy charges.

The Amherst community would appreciate if the current officers of the UMass MSA would provide a list of the students who heard Dr. Hazratji’s call to violence and bloodshed, and failed to inform college security or the local authorities about this serious threat to the safety of our community.

We would also very much appreciate a statement from the MSA regarding Dr. Hazratj,  president of Hampshire Mosque Inc. and the ISWM, and their views on the “nefarious Jews and Christians, Shi’ite apostates, bloodshed, violence, warfare, and promised war booty” about which Dr. Hazratji preached so eloquently.
