Police, FBI investigate weapons, explosives found in Belchertown storage unit

Police are investigating the possibility that an abandoned storage locker filled with ammunition and explosives may be related to recent exhortations to violent warfare and bloodshed, delivered to followers “whether they liked it or not” from the center of Amherst just last year.

Masslive – Belchertown Police and FBI …

“Terrorists could cause an awful lot of terror with a cache like that” remarked one student. “That’s crazy, that much ammo over there, oh my god,” said another local resident as police “spent hours going through several storage units” to find …

  • a large cache of weapons and explosives
  • ammunition for several different types of firearms, including shotguns
  • fireworks
  • CO2 cartridges
  • gun powder and electrical wiring

There has not been any link established between the weapons cache and the mysterious UMass student death at the nearby Rolling Green Apts just last November.
